Warranty

We hereby represent and warrant that AMES Products shall conform in all material respects with their description and any applicable specifications and be free from defects in workmanship and materials during a period of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery (either purchased directly from AMES or from an authorized representative).

If any AMES Product proves to be non-conforming in workmanship or materials within the provided period, we undertake, to the exclusion of any other remedy, to repair or, at our option, replace the non-conforming Product or part thereof free of charge. The Product so repaired or replaced shall have a six (6) month warranty period from the date of delivery and otherwise on the same conditions as for the original Product or part thereof, unless the original warranty period extends beyond the six (6) month warranty period, in which case the original warranty period applies. Non-conforming Products replaced shall be placed in our possession for disposal.

This warranty is valid under the following conditions:

  • that the device was used in accordance with the supplied instructions
  • that the defect has occurred under the normal use and is not a result of any mechanical damage, atmospheric discharge, improper use, accident, theft, vandalism, hostile operating, negligence or error in storing, maintaining, handling, erroneous installation or assembly of the Product
  • that the instrument had not been serviced by an unauthorized persons
  • the Product is within the warranty period.

To claim the warranty it is necessary:

  • a substantiated written claim as to any alleged nonconformity shall have been received by us within thirty (30) days after the nonconformity occurred or became known
  • the allegedly nonconforming Product or part thereof shall be sent to AMES properly packed and labeled by you, unless we have agreed to inspect and repair or replace the Product

Under the conditions stated above, we accept the obligation to repair the product within thirty days from the delivery of the device under warranty. Freight and insurance shall be at our expense, subject to you following the return material authorization (RMA) procedures set by us for the return of the non-conforming products, as set forth on our website.

We are not liable for nonconformities arising out of materials, designs or instructions provided by you.

Certain products may have specific warranty conditions that are in addition to or deviate from the standard warranty defined in this product warranty. Specific warranty conditions are detailed in the product information when applicable.

We guarantee the availability of spare parts for a period of ten years from the date of purchase.
