Total UV Radiometer SUV5
The Kipp&Zonen UV Radiometer SUV5 is a sensor that measures total UV irradiance. Specific parts of the UV spectrum such as UVA, UVB or UVE / UV Index cannot be derived from the SUV5 measurements. For measurement of these individual parameters specific SUV models are required (SUV-A UVA, SUV-B UVB and SUV-E UVE radiometers). It is suitable for climatological research, research center and industrial applications where is required monitoring of the high-intensity UV lamps. 5 year warranty
SUV5 performs digital signal processing, which enables polynomial correction of the internal temperature and linearization of high-intensity UV lamps response. Data are given in W/m2. SUV’s can be interchanged and no changes have to be made in the data logger or data acquisition system after recalibration.
SUV5 has a RS-485 interface with Modbus RTU communication protocol and an amplified analog signal output. SmartExplorer Windows software allows data logging and display as well as changing Modbus address and communication settings.
The SUV5 has an internal desiccant that will lasts for at least 10 years. This minimizes maintenance significantly.
SUV5 is compatible with the same accessories as Kipp&Zonen SMP pyranometers.
