Črni Kal Viaduct
AMES was measuring wind on one the largest (more than 100 m high and over 1 km long) Slovenian highway viaduct Črni Kal. These measurements were meant to identify the potentialy dangerous winds (Bora and Jugo). Measurements were done on two locations by use of VMT 107A combined wind speed / direction sensors and a wireless transmission links. On one of the sensors, vertical wind speed was measured with the EGH 140 unidirectional wind speed sensor. Usualy, wind speed is sampled in 1 s intervals, but here the interval was shortened to 100 ms to detect the turbulent winds.
