New Radiological Early Warning System for Serbia
From the end of 2007, Serbia operates an up-to-date state radiological early warning system, designed an installed by AMES. System covers the entire territory of Serbia: from Subotica on the North, to Vranje on the South, and from Zlatibor on the West to Kladovo on the East. In addition to the gamma radiation, AMES MFM 203 radiological monitors also measure the intensity of precipitation. They are on-line connected to the center in Belgrade by GSM data links. Radiological information is presented in real time over Internet to the State Authorities. Current real-time radiological data for Serbia are available also to the general publics on the pages of the Serbian Ministry of the Environment. AMES had also installed the similar system for the local survey in the Vinča Nuclear Institute near Belgrade where also AMES PMP124 meteorological station was installed.
