uSonic-1 Spinner is an ultrasonic anemometer intended specifically for measuring wind speed directly in front of the rotor of a wind turbine. This is achieved through it's innovative mounting right on the tip of the nosecone of the turbine. There, it can measure wind speed and direction without encountering nacelle/rotor flow distorsions.

Expected increase in wind turbine performance is 1-5%, primarily by reducing yaw control error. These sensors are resistant to icing (built in heater) and require no maintenance after installation.
